Information released in remote part of NRC website details damage at San Onofre Nuclear Plant far worse than expected. Dan Hirsch of Committee to Bridge the Gap, and a lecturer on nuclear policy at the University of California:
‘‘The new data reveal that there are thousands of damaged tubes in both Units 2 and 3, raising serious questions whether either unit should ever be restarted...The problem is vastly larger than has been disclosed to date.’’

The article says: ‘‘The new data reveal that there are thousands of damaged tubes in both Units 2 and 3,....
At the nrc meeting my husband stood up and challenged the nrc and sce with the number of damaged tubes and they skated around his question never giving him a straight answer. When I finish typing this i am calling him at work to congratulate him on his correct calculation of the tube numbers. The sce and nrc lied to us that evening. Of course they lied, that's why SONGS is not decommissioned yet.

Betty: My thanks go to you and your husband for your effort and work in challenging the SCE and NRC!
